Do you have an interest in security?
If so, would you like to train to become a Professional Locksmith?
The Locksmith Industry has been around for many years, dating back over 4000 years to the ancient Egyptians who used large wooden bolts to secure doors. The industry has since developed massively with the introduction of new technologies, techniques, tools and equipment. The need for increased security has recently questioned the industries lack of regulation, putting pressure on current locksmiths and training providers. With a new national standard having been created, locksmiths now have a base line to work from with the option to now achieved a recognised qualification within the industry.
What is Involved in Becoming a Professional Locksmith?
When training to become a Professional Locksmith, you are given the option to choose between commercial property security or automotive vehicle security. Each route offers the same level of training and expects a high degree of expertise, knowledge and skill to be developed over a flexible 12-month course.
What Experience is Needed?
In order to gain the required skills for a successful career, Industry Level 3 Diplomas are available to all aspiring locksmiths, no matter their current experience and capabilities.
With no previous experience required, you can become a qualified locksmith in up to 12 months. This is an excellent opportunity to those wanting to branch off into a new career, go self-employed or further develop within the locksmith industry.
Once qualified you will have the opportunity to work for either yourself or a reputable locksmith company, as an OFQUAL recognised, qualified and DBS checked Locksmith. With the invaluable backing of Corgi Fenestration, OFQUAL Level 3 qualified Locksmiths will have increased work opportunities than the average locksmith, for example; the ability to work on construction sites and along-side police forces.
